Invitation for Blog Submissions for Landback.org
Hello Relatives!
We are excited to be launching a revamped Landback.org. The goal of this website is to serve as a public-facing space to share, celebrate, and uplift stories from the LANDBACK movement, including stories from members of the LANDBACK Action Network.
To help bring this vision to life, we invite you to submit stories that show the world what LANDBACK looks like in action in your community.
Stories do not need to be long. They can be as short as 400 words (about one page) or as long as you need to share your story fully. We also love to feature photos, videos, or other media, so we strongly encourage you to include any visuals that help bring your story to life. Please include the name of the photographer, creator, or organization that should be credited for each piece of media submitted.
We trust you to bring forward the stories that you feel are important to share with the world. But if you would like inspiration, we have included some suggested prompts below.
Suggested Blog Prompts
Share a LANDBACK win in your community
What did it take to achieve this victory? What organizing, partnerships, or strategies helped make it possible? How is the land being cared for or used now by the community?
Highlight an important LANDBACK fight
Is there a struggle for LANDBACK that more people should know about? What is the history of this fight, and what is happening right now? How can people support the effort locally or from afar?
Food Sovereignty Stories
Is there a food sovereignty program in your community that is thriving? How did the program get started, and what cultural significance do the foods hold? Are there traditional recipes, harvesting practices, or teachings connected to this work you want to share?
